Hope and I worked on doing some alterations to our bridesmaid dresses.
I
had a little farm accident when a metal fence post was
accidentally
knocked
over on me. Being the family we are, we did not rush off to the
ER to
get
stitches, but I was hurried home to get it washed, iced and essential
oiled.
We
packed the wound with People's Paste (a mixture of slippery elm,
myrrh and goldenseal), or
God's
stitches as I call it. It closes the wound from the inside,
pushing any debris out, whereas regular stitches bind beginning
from the outside and seal any debris in. We have used
this
mixture again and again, with much more serious injuries, and have had
amazing success
every
single time. When my brother got his neck sliced open by a tree
branch, we packed the
wound
and he just has a hairline scar today. God is amazing!
Day 3...
Just a little over 2 weeks later!
"Freddy" was so small when he was born, he could walk right under his mama!
On October 9th, I flew to Florida for another week in prison! The more I do this, the more I fall in love with it.
AmyGrace and I were teamed up this time! It had been almost 2 years since we had done a seminar together and we had an amazing bonding time as we watched God work in the women's hearts and in ours too!
Arriving home a week before the wedding, I jumped right into preparations.
On my birthday (the 20th), my family surprised me by having a belated high school graduation! Although I graduated 3 years ago, we had never had a time of celebration for mine or Caden's graduations. It was a beautiful evening of laughter, some tears and it blessed me so much!
More wedding preparations!
Making out shopping lists.
Caffinating!
I have decided to make separate posts for all the wedding weekend pictures! September and October were wonderful months, very busy and there was good growth, but they were beautiful and God continues showing Himself so faithful to our family and the farm. |
